A LITTLE HELP, WHEN YOU NEED IT
Let’s get you
back home.
Your saved plan and your pending changes are different. Keep this browser’s data while we check the connection.
Can Fairest connect?
These checks contact Fairest’s health and sign-in endpoints. They don’t send your chores or preferences.
No checks run yet.
See exactly what is in the report
Trouble getting in?
- Open Fairest directly in your browser and sign in with the account you used for your household. Use the sign-in screen to recover access to that account.
- If you see “503” or “Service unavailable,” wait briefly and retry. A successful connection check here does not prove the sign-in service is working.
- Your partner needs their own account. An invitation can be used once and expires after 48 hours. Ask your partner for a fresh invitation if it has expired or was replaced.
If the error appears before this page opens, record its time and whether it happened before or after sign-in. Don’t forward a private invitation link or a sign-in callback URL.
Keep Fairest close.
Open Fairest directly in your phone’s browser and add it to your home screen. You and your partner each use your own account.
- iPhone or iPad: in Safari, open the Share menu, choose Add to Home Screen, then Add.
- Android: in Chrome, open the menu and choose Install app or Add to Home screen, then follow the prompt.
On your first visit from the home-screen icon, sign in again if asked. Pending changes and drafts stay in the browser or installation where you made them, so let them finish saving before switching. Reminders currently appear only while Fairest is open.
Is my change saved?
- Saved: the server confirmed your change.
- Pending or offline: keep this browser and its data. Reconnect and use “Try again.” A pending change is not a confirmed save.
- Needs review: the saved plan changed or access ended. Review your draft before trying again.
Clearing browser data removes unsent changes. A request already sent may still finish. Avoid repeating a payment or rebuilding your plan to work around an error.
Your data, in plain language.
Your partner sees the shared plan and contributions. Your individual availability and preference answers are only shown to you; the proposal reflects both people’s answers.
- Household Math: your percentage and three tap choices stay private until both people choose to share. An unfinished evaluation is saved on this browser; saving after household setup sends your answers to your account. Shared answers are a conversation starter, not a measured fairness score. Leaving or removing a member clears the current icebreaker and mission.
- Missions: both people agree before starting; each confirms their own part. A linked mission part uses a whole scheduled responsibility; its completion updates the routine once. Unlinked parts stay separate. Helpers receive their own completion credit. The room keeps your latest 12 mission memories. Its illustrated scene changes with confirmed mission parts; it does not monitor or photograph your real home.
- Personal starts and check-ins: your starter and latest weekly reflection are private to you. A personal win does not create a shared milestone. Time away does not automatically move or reassign chores.
- History: the current view covers the recent fortnight and five weeks ahead. Older work is available from Our plan and included in your export. Saved history is kept in separate indexed records.
- Reminders: optional notes appear only while Fairest is open, at most once per person per household day. Quiet hours and time away apply. Calendar downloads are snapshots; they do not update automatically. Closed-app push is not enabled.
- Optional usage counts: off by default. With your choice, we save action categories, timestamps and household/member references, plus an allowed campaign label. These are not anonymous records. No answers, chore text or advertising identifiers are included. Turn the choice off in Settings to delete your optional events; leaving also removes them. A campaign label can stay in this tab for up to 24 hours before you decide, without being sent to Fairest. Normal household history and safe-retry records are separate.
- Export: Settings → Export my household data downloads the shared household and your own preferences.
- This device: Settings → Data on this device explains cached copies and unsent changes. Signing out alone does not erase those copies or unfinished evaluation drafts. Removing local data also clears those drafts.
- Leave: leaving removes your access and private preferences; past shared contributions can remain under “Former household member.”
- Close: the household creator can close the household, removing its routine and contribution content. Minimal records remain for safe retries. This is not complete account erasure.
Clerk provides Fairest’s sign-in and account recovery. Fairest is a private, free pilot with no subscription checkout. Operator details, retention terms and paid-service terms must be established before a public paid launch; this explanation is not a complete privacy notice.
Still stuck?
Contact the person who invited you to the pilot. Include what you tried, the time of the problem and the diagnostic report if you choose. The report excludes names, account and household IDs, chores, preferences, invitation tokens and URL parameters.
Nothing is automatically sent to support. Don’t include passwords, payment details or screenshots of private answers.
